This is our most popular ceremony spot by far, whether facing the gazebo or the Manor House Itself. To the north, an ivy-strewn stone wall leading to an arched gate hidden among drooping spruces. To the south, the historic Manor and its circular, brick terrace. On all other sides, bougainvillea, ornamental grasses, hemlock, maple, and century-old sweet gum trees create an open-air arbor in this lush, manicured lawn.
At the heart of the space is the gazebo, built by hand by Cold Saturday owner Garnet Bean and his son Aaron for a family farm wedding in 2002. A downed cedar tree was salvaged and repurposed into a covered pavilion for romantic nuptials and friendly gatherings alike, a wildflower garden serving as its backdrop. The Green can summon magic for an outdoor ceremony or a cocktail hour where market lights match the constellations above – easy to spot thanks to a night sky untainted by city lights.
